You may have just started 8th grade, but soon you will need to make decisions about high school and the many options that are offered to you as a Bacon student. On Thursday, November 17th, Bacon Academy will be hosting an 8th Grade Showcase Night.  The evening will begin at 6pm in the Franklin “Doc” Gross auditorium at Bacon Academy.   We invite you and your parent/caregiver to attend this most informative night.  We look forward to seeing you on November 17th and welcoming you to the Bacon Academy Family!

William J. Johnston Middle School proudly presents the 32nd running of the WJJMS “Turkey Trot” Fun Run/Walk. This event will be held on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, the last day of school before we head off for our Thanksgiving break. We sponsor this event for several reasons: to raise money for a worthy cause, to promote physical fitness, and to have fun. The last time the event was held, we had over 350 students and faculty runners and walkers participate, and raised over $1,800. The race course is approximately one 1/4 miles long. Awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers in grades 6, 7, and 8. The entrance fee is $5.00 but if you wish to donate more, it would be greatly appreciated. a portion of the proceeds will benefit Restavec (rest-ta-vek) Freedom Alliance. Please complete and sign the permission slip you received from your Homeroom Teacher. Only this permission slip will be accepted. No hand-written notes will be taken, similar to the way dance permission slips are handled. Please return your signed permission slip and donation to your Homeroom Teacher. Registration closes on Monday, November 21st, the day before the race. There is no race day registration.
